Chrysler Ram Recalled for Improperly Formed Wiper Arm Head Joint

Chrysler Ram Recalled for Improperly Formed Wiper Arm Head Joint

Chrysler is recalling certain Ram vehicles for windshield wiper arms that may loosen and function improperly.

The Problem

Documents released by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration detail that certain Ram vehicles may have been built with a improperly formed wiper arm head joint. The result may cause the windshield wiper arms to loosen and potentially function improperly.

When the windshield wiper arms are unable to function as designed, driver’s visibility in certain weather conditions are reduced. This is likely to be dangerous and increase the risk of a crash and serious injury.

The Fix

Dealers will examine the wiper arms and tighten the wiper nuts. This recall fix is at no cost to the owner.
