Very disappointing gas mileage
Pros:Comfortable, nice styling, some nice features
Cons:Poor mpg, small door pockets, no hidden storage
Poor MPG / MPGe
Although I realize manufacturers exaggerate the mpg of new cars, the gas mileage in my new 2019 HR-V is really disappointing. The sticker claims 29 mpg in the city and 32 on the hwy. in the city I get 18-19 mpg and in combined city and hwy the top mpg is 19.8 mpg. That’s a whopping difference. This is without any cargo and with the car set to Econ mode (generally with the air conditioning on.) My 12 year old Subaru Outback with AWD which was on its last legs got virtually the same gas mileage. Seems outrageous that a new 2019 compact SUV gets such rotten gas mileage. Because of this. I suggest buying a different car.
No, I would not recommend
