Build Quality

Medium risk

Medium

Build quality refers to how well the vehicle was put together or assembled. For example, some people may notice that interior and/or exterior panels may be out of alignment, parts are not properly secured or they tend to fall off easily.
Car depreciation

56% after 5 years

While different cars depreciate at different rates, it's a good rule of thumb to assume that a new car will lose approximately 20 percent of its value in the first year. In five years, the average depreciation rate is 50% of their initial value.
Complaint Resolution

Neutral

All automobiles will suffer from defects at some point, but its the way the dealer and manufacturer tend to the issues. As reported currently, Volvo is taking care of some customer complaints, but not others.
Recalls

15 Recalls

A recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle, equipment, car seat, or tire creates an unreasonable safety risk or fails to meet minimum safety standards. Manufacturers are required to fix the problem by repairing it, replacing it, offering a refund, or in rare cases repurchasing the vehicle.

I leased a Volvo T8 with every bell and whistle, including air suspension, red key, heads up display etc. Sticker was over $75k. It's a beautiful and comfortable car but I can't wait to give it back. The front dashboard rattles miserably on the highway. It truly drives me mad

The XC60 was my fourth Volvo, and it will be my last. The ride quality as well as the interior fit and finish fall far short of other luxury vehicles. I experienced a number of electrical and computer errors and had to endure very long wait times for replacement parts.

First they told me that my car was made in Sweden, I am smart enough to know that LV on the VIN means China. I want a Volvo made in Sweden - that is just me.... I have had many Volvo's, if you sell them they should not be made

I purchased Volvo’s 2018 flagship plug-in hybrid T8 XC60. Sticker Price: $70,000! Within months, the car began suffering one malfunction after another. Countless trips to the dealer! The car has spent approximately 2+ months in service over 1.5 years of ownership. Wish I bought a German luxury car!

Driver seat and passenger seat squeak when driving over every bump in the road. (Unbelievably irritating.) Volvo is aware of mass issues but no recall fix planned. Small gas tank; short range. Multiple failures with sensors and computer systems. Technology package was released prematurely. Released with known bugs to sell

My wife and I purchased a new Volvo XC60 (factory order) and took possession of it in November 2018. Since that time, my wife has noted multiple issues with the vehicle that made her extremely dissatisfied with the vehicle overall. The windows rattle when up or partially down. The moonroof

I am very disappointed in this car. It is depreciating faster than I can pay it down, dropping in value by $1500 per month. The T8 AWD system is split, electric in back, gas in front, so any need for AWD capabilities in slippery or uneven conditions has not been

Very Disappointed. The vehicle has been back to the dealer 5 times in the first 6 months with the check engine light coming on in addition to other problems. It really worries me down the road as it only has 8000 miles on it now.
