Car depreciation

44% after 5 years

While different cars depreciate at different rates, it's a good rule of thumb to assume that a new car will lose approximately 20 percent of its value in the first year. In five years, the average depreciation rate is 50% of their initial value.
Recalls

Seats for second row passengers are very difficult to get in to, and because the front of the seats are tilted up, do not sat well. I had a 2006 toyota van, and it had far more comfortable second row seats. I don't understand why the change, since this vehicle

I have a 2011 XLE Toyota Sienna van, the wind and road noise is really bad. The backup camera is fuzzy and not clear at all. It is close to worthless. Dealerships say all the new are the same. As much as it cost, it should at least be better

We previously owned 2004 Sienna LE. Loved it, so when it was time to buy a new van we purchased 2012 Sienna LE. Toyota has certainly cut corners, compared to our 2004. The sliding doors will have an unusual "pop" sound when you pull the handle to close the sliding

Sienna, standard, not AWD. On our 4th set of tires at almost 50k. Alignment fine. The tires last about 10-20k before they all wear out. First set was at 8k and the dealer blamed the brand (Firestone), replaced with Goodyear which was good till 25k. Dealer required replacement with Goodyear

Especially 2015 models have many problems with power sliding doors. They do recall , however there is no evidence of them have a contingent plan of fixing the problem. After calling the recall and dealer bring in the minivan, they can’t fix the problem in contrary they cause more complication
