Audi Q7 model years 2017-18 vehicles allegedly are equipped with defective braking systems that make a high-pitched noise when the brakes are applied. A class action lawsuit was filed and settlement recently announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As first reported by LegalScoops<\/a>, the Audi Q7 brake defect is a serious safety concern that has been documented to occur without warning during standard vehicle operation. Additionally it is claimed the brake defect poses an extreme and unreasonable safety hazard to other drivers, passengers and pedestrians. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Mercado v. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. dba Audi of America, Inc.<\/em> lawsuit, when the Q7 brakes are applied it’s alleged a loud high-pitched squealing noise is emitted. The emitted noise creates a safety hazard as it may startle vehicle drivers affecting critical driving decisions. Pedestrians as an effect of the brake defect may pay attention to the loud braking noise rather than having their full attention on other hazards in their path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
