We are going to go through the average MPG for each model year of the Nissan Rogue here. Do bear in mind that the information here is estimated figures. Fuel efficiency will always be determined by driving conditions.

The 2016 Nissan Rogue models offer up to 26mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway. This means up to 28mpg combined.

2017 Nissan Rogue Fuel Efficiency 

2017 is when Nissan started to experiment with hybrid versions of the Nissan Rogue. The hybrid version came in at up to 33mpg in the city and 35mpg on the highway. This was a combined 34mg.

They did not offer a standard AWD Rogue that year. Just a FWD, which offered 26mpg city and 33mpg highway, for a combined 29mpg.

The Nissan Rogue Sport was also FWD and offers roughly the same sort of gas consumption.

2018 Nissan Rogue Fuel Efficiency

The 2018 Nissan Rogue Hybrid was the same as the 2017 version with fuel efficiency (34mpg combined).

Both the Nissan Rogue FWD and Nissan Rogue Sport models were also as fuel efficient as the 2017 models (29mpg combined).

2019 Nissan Rogue Fuel Efficiency 

2019 was the final year that a vehicle was released under the Nissan Rogue Hybrid banner. The mpg was the same as the previous two years (34mpg combined).

The 2019 Rogue FWD was the same as previous years (29mpg combined) but the AWD was brought back, which offers 27mpg combined.

2020 Nissan Rogue Fuel Efficiency

Nissan went back to just two models for 2020. The FWD Rogue offered 26mpg city and 33mpg highway. This combined for 29mpg.

However, the Rogue AWD offered 25mpg city and 32mpg highway. This is 27mpg combined.

2021 Nissan Rogue Fuel Efficiency

In 2021, Nissan offered multiple options for the Nissan Rogue, although they were broadly the same mileage: 30mpg city, 36mpg highway, and 33mpg combined.

The Nissan Rogue SL/Platinum trims had slightly less mileage, but we are talking just 0.5 to 1mpg, so nothing to get too stressed about.

2022 Nissan Rogue Fuel Efficiency 

2022 Nissan Rogue models had the same fuel efficiency as 2021. The SL/Platinum model for this year was also slightly less fuel efficient.

2023 Nissan Rogue Fuel Efficiency

Nissan Rogue models in 2023 are the most fuel-efficient models yet, at least on the highway. Here’s what to expect from the 2023 Nissan Rogue with regards to fuel mileage.

City driving you will see 30mpg, while highway driving will net you 37mpg. Overall, that’s 33mpg combined.

The AWD and the SL/Platinum trims are less efficient, but not by much really. They cap out at about 32mpg combined.
