Engine

High risk

High

Engine problems include oil leaks, oil consumption, overheating, stalling, smoking, trouble turning over, or engine seizure/failure.
Car depreciation

55% after 5 years

While different cars depreciate at different rates, it's a good rule of thumb to assume that a new car will lose approximately 20 percent of its value in the first year. In five years, the average depreciation rate is 50% of their initial value.
Complaint Resolution

Poor

All automobiles will suffer from defects at some point, but its the way the dealer and manufacturer tend to the issues. As reported currently, KIA isn't taking care of some customer complaints.
Recalls

51 Recalls

A recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle, equipment, car seat, or tire creates an unreasonable safety risk or fails to meet minimum safety standards. Manufacturers are required to fix the problem by repairing it, replacing it, offering a refund, or in rare cases repurchasing the vehicle.
