I have a 2017 Hyundai Tucson with 63,000 miles on it i started having issues with the ticking in the engine. I made appointment with the dealership which was month and half out before they could even get to me. I received a letter from Hyundai stating there was a recall on the engine and updated needed. when the appointment came for the dealership i told them about the ticking and my engine light blinking and the recall letter i received . when i picked up the car they said they ran the diagnosis on my vehicle and it passed the Hyundai test the engine was good all they did was update the chip that Hyundai recommended and said there was a P1342 code and 2 other codes that i had to fix before they would do anything about the code. when i drove down the road 10 miles it would not go over 40 miles hour turned around took back and left note for the next day picked up and they said nothing was wrong and it was fine. I took it to another mechanic had P1342 code blinking fast engine light they told me it was the engine. I have a 3rd party warranty they said they could not do anything because it was a Hyundai issue and they had to fix it. So i took it to another dealership and they ran a diagnosis and the only code is the P1342 which is Hyundai code. Hyundai asked them to change my oil and oil filter to a Hyundai oil filter to see if the ticking would stop and it didn't now i am waiting on Hyundai to tell me if they are paying for repairs.

How likely are you to recommend this car to a friend?
